    • created debug.png image to show on the debug version

Phil 9.13.2010

8:00 – 10:00 VISIBILITY

  • Slow on site. Talked to John Williams. He likes the idea that we’re getting a cloud based Sharepoint Server. Also, the whole SiteWorks deal is that if there is a web developer component to a team, then SiteWorks can’t take any work away from that developer.

10:00 – 11:30

  • Ran cables top hard-wire our computers in because the wifi was too awful to use.

11:30 – 2:00 VISIBILITY

  • Flex in a week
  • Walked through project setup for PPM going forward with Dong
    • The release version only has pgfeldm as a user (Admin privileges). Database is clean except for budget info (FY10 O&M, procurement, etc)
    • Default build is ProjportfolioMgrBeta.swf
    • Background image says “BETA”
    • Manual copy of the swf to ProjPortfolioMgr.swf when all tests are passed
    • There is a separate build for anything that changes the database. SWC has a background of “ALPHA”, and the java talks to a different database (project_portfolio_dev). This gets built and deployed to a different war file than the current release version so that testing can occur without harming the release version

2:00 – 5:00

  • Approved changes on provisional patent
  • Started on SIGCHI 2011 paper.

Phil 9.10.2010

7:30 – 2:30 – VISIBILITY

  • Everything is running smooth, which is a good thing seeing as we have a new office with no internet yet.
  • Spent a good deal of time working through scenarios with Keil about what and how to build things for the customer(s)
  • Worked on Flex in a week
  • Assembled a table for the FP

Phil 9.8.2010

8:00 – VISIBILITY

  • Everything looks good at the customer site. Kyle appears to have gotten his account.
  • Paul O has been poking around in visibility again
  • Need to add a map server to fgmdev. Ping’s Tom to do that.
  • Testing PPM with Dong
    • Yellow highlight doesn’t go away
    • “Working” clock icon
    • Double-click to bring up invoice
    • Edit invoice info from list
  • Sharepoint hosting? (http://myhosting.com/business-vps/sharepoint-services.aspx)
  • Had a thought about how to do code completion in the scripting system the same way that google scribe (http://scribe.googlelabs.com/) does it – basically take what other developers have done and suggest that.
  • Talked to Anne about moving SLA forward.
    • Wants a meeting with Brian, Anne, and I about setting up a SOW framework.

4:00 – 6:00 – move

  • Cleaned and assembled

Keil 9/8/2010

  • Researching converting PHP code for forecast into .NET for easy integration into Sharepoint.
  • Investigated doing the forecast entirely in Sharepoint, but Sharepoint is definitely not the best tool for that job.

Dong Shin 09.08.2010

  • cannot get Budget Center on Funding Request to behave to right format. on hold
  • replaced all “,”‘s with /,/g in ActionScript code to handle global replacement
  • fixed ItemRenderer showing yellow on Summary Data (g.clear() to clear the previous)
  • InvoiceWindow added to update Invoice Data from Invoice Select Window
  • Double Click on FinancialDataDataGrid to view/edit invoices

Phil 9.7.2010

7:30 – 10:00

  • Meeting with Trish and Chris. Uncovered a few bugs and requests. Passed the info off to Dong.

10:00 – 1:30

  • Went over to Savage Mill to show our movers(?) what to assemble. Masked everything and started to paint, but got complaints. Will finish later today.

1:30 – 4:30

  • Flex in a week. Fortunately, Dong has downloaded all though itunes.

4:30 – 7:00

  • Savage Mill. Finished painting

Dong Shin 09.07.2010

  • MySQLBrowser talks to servlets with no problems
  • more feedbacks from customers
    • fixed SQL error when saving budget centers data
    • corrected Summary calculation
    • rearranged columns on FMP select window
    • created AmountTextInput and applied to Text Inputs in Funding Request Panel

Phil 9.3.2010

7:30 – 3:30

  • Everything is running smoothly on site
  • Had a meeting with the SLA folks. About 8 people, including Sheryl H., a senior sla(?). I was able to ingest some of their data during the demo, which went over very well. They are interested in putting together a SOW that covers getting new data from employees, restructuring the current tables/adding new tables to aid in getting the kind of staffing information they need, and extending visualization, for example to show a chart combining two columns. The next step will be to get some data that is closer to the raw forms in the master database, ingest that, and see what we can show with it. But this seems like a real possibility to get some regular development work.
  • 1:00 Meeting with Jim M.
    • Apparently Trish has been sick a lot, and busy as hell when she is in, which is why we haven’t gotten and contact with her recently. Going to try to get contact on Tuesday.
    • Introduced Kyle to Jim M
    • Got the ball rolling on getting the new Virtual Server. We’ll see how long that takes.
    • Briefed Brian on the earlier meeting with sdl.

Keil 9.2.2010

  • Working on using Flash Builder to connect to a PHP data service using  MySQL database.  Works like a champ so far.
  • Had no success in adding custom functionality to textarea WYSIWYG editor.  Will revisit later if necessary.
