Phil 12.11.2009

8:00 – 4:00

  • 10:30 meeting at S2F
  • More getting IngestManager to behave. Fixed
  • All flex components are now stored as components or projects in the svn repository and in the Edge maven Repo
  • Got a demo map widget working. Need to fold it into visibility

Phil 12.10.2009

7:30 – 5:30

  • All quiet at the customer site this morning
  • Testing DatabaseIf fix – Yep, I had killed a few other things getting the fix to work. All seems back to normal now.
  • Then back to ConfigManager2. The problem is that the LoginScreen is loading first, before the ConfigManager has been configed. Working on changing the order

Phil 12.9.2009

7:00 – 4:30

  • Deployed debug version of ImageCanvas at the fort, and naturally enough, everything is working fine…
  • 11:00 meeting with S14
  • Weird problem: ConfigManager does not seem to be visible in the ManagementUtils project. It compiles file, but becomes null(?) at runtime in LoginScreen.mxml. Is this because it’s a dynamic class? Trying a singleton pattern to see if that works better
  • Fixed a bug in DatabaseIf.java that allowed reserved words to mess up ingestion. All column headers are backticked now.

Phil 12.8.2009

8:00 – 4:30

  • Set permissions for billet tables to be visible to more users
  • Deployed new version. Backgrounds are still not showing up. Added a bunch of logging for every event a loader can throw.
  • Working on getting server projects to work in mvnAssist. It’s working, but I ran into a problem with IngestManager, where it can’t connect to the server. Tomorrow.
  • Meeting at Boeing? – nope

Phil 12.7.2009

7:30 – 4:30

  • Talked to JW this morning about enclave clone. He says to submit anyway, and it will be put into the correct pipe atthe right time. We may move to OCEANSURF as well.
  • More imagecanvas work. Pretty much done. Added alpha and nailed the loading
  • Worked on getting the Visibility project into MvnAssist, but stopped due to the fact that flexmojos doesn’t seem to support server projects.

Mike 12.06.09

  • Added another bar chart which display a single time slice, the same slice as the pie chart
  • Modified the css file to make the first couple bar chart colors more in line with the rest of vis 2
  • Lots of comments on the code I’ve changed and cleaned up here and there

Phil 12.4.2009

7:00 – 6:00

  • Working on image loading timing issues. Pretty much done, but I had to make a new ImageCanvas class that extends Canvas. It turns out that it’s impossible to set the bitmap for the background directly any other way.
  • 10:00 meeting with Brian at ITMC
  • 1:00 meeting at ops1 with Cassandra
  • Need to give Brian Chralie’s proposal. Brian says to tell John that we can’t move on the enclave proposal until NG starts paying *us*
  • Transition Vis2 to mvnAssist – nope – Tom left early

Phil 12.3.2009

7:30 – 4:30

  • Deployed tool with color chooser
  • Work on S14 req’s
  • Transition to MvnAssist project? Nope – tomorrow
  • Got images as backgrounds, but they don’t load up from the xml all the time. May have to have the app go out and get them special.

Phil 12.2.2009

7:30 -5:00

  • Worked on getting Charlie to put together a proposal for our enclave
  • Prep for Boeing meeting
  • Made some fixes to Vis2, deployed to LaurelDemo anbd burned a disk
  • Worked with Dong a bit for requirements

Phil 12.1.2009

7:30 – 4:00

  • Got the customer’s Edge server restarted. Everything seems to be working fine. We’ll see after the update.
  • Writing up October and November Status reports
  • Working on color picker.
    • Add alpha
    • Read user xml for config
    • Set values before making widget visible
    • Look into setting image for bg (combobox)
  • Need to make a small fix to MvnAssist  so that the repo browser only stores a selection if it is a leaf node
  • Wrote up status report

Phil 11.30.2009

8:00 – 4:30

  • Tried to restart the customer’s Edge server and discovered I don’t have permissions to do that. Sent around emails to make this happen tomorrw. The goal is to see if there are any odd configurations before a new patch rollout on Wednesday
  • Worked on the Color Chooser
  • Talked to Dong about the use cases for VisForms. And yes, this sounds something like a naming convention. I think Visibility should become VisCharts, and we’ll have a VisReports sometime in the future. Pleasantly, vischarts.com, visforms.com, and visreports.com are all available
